Maxtec becomes QBS Software Africa, expanding opportunity across the channel

Maxtec has officially transitioned to QBS Software Africa, marking the next phase in our growth and our closer alignment with the global QBS Technology Group.

While our name has changed, our business remains the same at its core. Our teams, leadership and partner relationships continue unchanged, with no immediate impact on our day-to-day operations or service delivery.

What has changed is the scale behind us.

As QBS Software Africa, we now form part of a global software delivery platform that connects partners, vendors and customers across multiple regions. This gives us access to more than 12,500 software vendors, along with a more integrated approach to sourcing, procurement and delivery.

For our partners, this is about greater access and efficiency.

A broader vendor ecosystem allows us to respond faster to customer needs, while streamlined procurement and improved deal execution reduce complexity. We can also transact through AWS Marketplace as a designated seller of record, providing more flexibility in how deals are structured and delivered.

At the same time, we continue to operate as a value-added distributor.

Our core VAD services remain central to what we do, including pre-sales support, technical enablement, training and proof-of-concept environments. These are supported by professional services, as well as hosted and managed solutions that help our partners extend their capabilities and deliver ongoing value to their customers.

For vendors, this creates a clearer route into the African market.

Through QBS Software Africa, we provide access to an established partner network, supported by local expertise and a platform that simplifies onboarding, compliance and distribution, helping reduce time to market.

At the centre of this is the QBS Software Delivery Platform. By connecting sourcing, procurement and delivery into a single environment, we create a more efficient and scalable way to do business.

For our partners and customers, continuity remains key.

We remain the same business you know, now supported by greater scale, broader access and enhanced capability.

  • The company will trade as: QBS Software Africa

• Maxtec Cyber Solutions Limited will become the registered name: QBS Software Kenya Limited
• • The company will trade as: QBS Software Africa

Please note that these are name change only.

All legal entities, registration numbers, tax details, and contractual obligations remain unchanged.

The name on bank accounts will be updated to reflect the new registered entity; however, all other banking details will remain the same.
